Scatterd - Part 3

Android, Windows Mobile 7 and the iPhone 4 in the barbecue test

'Oh no, the poor smartphones ...' would probably go some contemporaries in this video about the lips. In fact, someone has done to it, and put the 3 phones with the currently most popular operating systems on the grill. Which candidate holds well through the longest? Who starts the first fire, whose circuits remain quite cool? Here is a response in a non-cheek video.

Tomorrow will launch Google Street View in Germany!

Just read: At about 10.30 clock would start the service Google Street View in Germany with us officially. Oberstaufen unfortunately not completely Germany, but only to the village. Why Oberstaufen? The town serves as the basis of a friendly gags premiere circuit. A baker's wife had a cake in the window with the words "Google Street View Welcome to Oberstaufen" issued. Followed when other places, especially large cities, is probably still in the stars.

Finally, a comment on my part: I think the excitement over Google Street View in Germany with us for completely covered. Who does not want to have his picture on the Internet, which is the "granted". It's also possible to make your own home unrecognizable. But generally there is simply ignorance about Street View in the population. This is already happening there, that some people think are live images. This is simply wrong. In addition, there is a panoramic law in Germany, which legalized the photographing in public buildings accessible.

Nokia N8 in the test

The guys have a new BestBoyZ, again very very good, Review of Nokia's new flagship N8 made online. Whopping 56 minutes, the phone lights up and presented by all functions.
So anyone who is interested in the N8, should look at the video once.

Otherwise, Nokia has a lot to catch up fairly. Google and Apple have long dominated the mobile phone market (yes, Symbian is the most used OS, blah. Compared with Android or Symbian iOS is pretty bah.). Whether it succeeds with the Nokia N8 the turn, you see in the video.

PS: BestBoyZ should keep her in the eyes. The guys some great reviews!

Things that disturb me in Android ...

And ... that keep me from buying a smartphone with the Android operating system a bit. Either way this could be the title of this article. Since I'm civilization now, I earn one or the other - well deserved! - Cents. That's why I've come to the decision to buy with something beautiful. Sun Elektroniks and electricity and stuff! THe choice is for me to either a flat or a new phone because my D900 is now also a bit older. I want mobile Facebook and Twitter, ever!

The URL shortener service from Google is now using web interface

Small intermediate message: Today, Google has a web interface of our own URL shortener service goo.gl started. Gave the service itself is already a little longer, but the functionality was previously only accessible via an API. For the average Joe consumer that is utterly useless. Only sites like Google FeedBurner goo.gl had used on a large scale.

If, however, also times would shorten web addresses, which can now do so. Simply use the now relaunched website: http://goo.gl/.

End of announcement.

Interview with Daniel Domscheit-Berg aka Daniel Schmitt on WikiLeaks

On netzpolitik.org found today a super-interesting podcast post of Mark:

The Power Politics Podcast Episode 102 is an approximately 45 minute long interview with Daniel Domscheit-Berg, who until last week, most known only as Daniel Schmitt of Wikileaks. In the interview we talk about its 2.5 years of work at Wikileaks and of course the recent events that have led to his suspension and withdrawal from the project. That he no longer is, you could read over the weekend at Spiegel Online and in the mirror. In the power politics podcast he talks in detail about the background, the disagreements within the project, as there has been cooperation and how the current situation is. We talk also about what happens to the highly charged with Wikileaks, but not in recent months published documents and donations and how the platform is currently not working. For this purpose it is also about the question of why he has performed with pen and what the disclosure of his identity now means to him and his family.

You can find the MP3 to the podcast, here . Have fun!

The Motorola i886 - A cell phone with two keyboards

Late at night time a small mobile-excitation. Very briefly: Have you ever seen a phone with two keyboards? I do not mean a virtual and a real, but two hardware keyboards. Yes, there is now such a thing really and that of Motorola. The innovation goes by the name of i886, and is probably only likely in the U.S. come on the market (the phone supports iDEN, which currently exist only in America).

Is not NEN thing? 2 keyboards ... what? Sure, the one that is definitely useful if you "only once quickly" wants to start a phone call. Because I have heard many times that it is in touchscreen phones is not always easy to find the green button as this haptic not present, but only on the display. In this sense, this can be quite handy, but like a full numeric keypad? That would be me too much of a good thing, especially me and the display of the device occurs quite small. What do you think of this story?

Buugle - The federal government breaks down data protection

Buugle called the new film by Alexander Lehmann. You know, this is the guy who even during the election campaign, with the spot Save your freedom and you are a terrorist has drawn attention to itself. Now, the latest film is subtitled "What can Google, we can do better." The clip deals with the ridiculous silly season discussion of Google Street View and the proposals of the federal government. In case of doubt is among other things, the government's credibility in the debate, because this by itself is lit by a variety of methods, the citizens, whether by the Swift-agreements Nackscanner, Elena, or data retention.

Film is here!:

Skip Blu-ray? Not with me.

Just now I was leafing through my RSS reader. That was actually also pretty fast, so Sunday is usually not so much going on in the blog world. But an article on Basic Thinking I could not get past: Basic Flashback: And if we just skip Blu-ray? . Grob is summarized it so that the optical storage media slowly due to the expansion of broadband and the increasing number of dying by shooting from the floor streaming services. So why not put on Blu-ray player and not immediately give up entirely the rather precious looking glass?
