Back to the Future Gadgets: Hoverboard and power tabs! It's true!

Granted, not many came here. One reason is that football World Cup and, secondly, that I am depressed at the moment, a little of the departure of the German team at the World Championships. However: You guys have played a great World Cup. 3rd place for such a young team is great!
So, now to the actual topic of this article, but the above had to be said.

Suitable for the 25th anniversary of the film series back to the future , I thought to myself, I'll break the Nerdkurve, search times for a few gadgets from Part 2 of the film and see if it has some things it really is. And yes, it hoverboard and power tabs actually exist, although still at a very early "beta" stage. Look!

Carrera track drive with Android

Do you know things like that, you need not really, but still must have? For example, a slot car track or a smart phone with Android (granted, this should be quite useful in professional life, but that does not now!). You combine both, you have virtually a must-have for every Techfreak. Grant Skinner has actually put together to develop an AIR software, to connect to the Android smartphone takes to catch the reactions of the acceleration sensor and a Carrera track to send the signal. Specifically, it looks like this: Your tips for example, the Nexus One as an accelerator pedal forward and the software sends a signal to the car, which ultimately accelerates. Cool, right?

Who wants to see the whole again in action, who can watch this video here again:

New Nerdkram: Short PIXELS - worth seeing!

Through my travels on the internet I come across so many horny Nerdkram. This also applies to the following short film by Patrick Jean. Check it out, it's really worth seeing and made great!

And how did you like it?

Motion control in front of the Wii: NES Power Glove!

Do you remember actually in front of the Wii motion controller or before Project Natal (which is indeed almost get by without a controller)? I have a SNES (angeschlossen! retro rock!) At home, but by a motion controller for the console, I've never heard of. I see only the arcade equipment with guns that were then in casinos. However, here is proof that there are probably still at that time were attempts to convert movements into the game:

Is not it great? Proper Nerdkram.

Mac OS X on the Nokia N900 [+ video]

Probably you've already heard it all before and I'm just late. I think at the moment because of my upcoming Baccalaureate is not much time to blog and make better products. That will change, but again in the course of the year. By then, if I have my final exams in his pocket. But enough with the dry words, this news I wanted to share with you.

A certain Finns named Toni Nikkanen is to run the emulator PearPC with Mac OS X on your phone. For the mouse leadership he used the tool x11vnc. As the name suggests, these are a VNC tool that the input has transferred to a laptop to the phone.

Now you are allowed but did not think that you can simply play on your mobile phone Max times. While Toni was the first to have done such a thing. But the speed with which the OS was carried out, can probably be desired. Finally, he took full half hour to even get to the "About this Mac" dialog. As a result, had the following video to be severely cut (watch time on the clock in the OS). The cut, 6-minute version you see here:

So you make an iPad from an iPhone

You want an iPad nano with phone and camera function? No problem, this boy here shows you how to do this:

Granted, the video looks a bit amateurish. But by and large, the iPad can not really more. Except maybe let the faster processor and a bigger display of the iPad distinguish it from the iPhone. Oh yes: With iPod touch, is it working well.

Star Trek Phaser replica

This is probably a very diligent fellow Cpt. Kirk's phaser replica, and it shoots at balloons. Freaks ...

Caution This is a very powerful laser ( 465 mW ), whose unique radiation is enough to take you to the sight or burn the skin.
