First impressions of Windows 7 RC
As I have already written a few days ago, now the Windows 7 RC for all users on the Internet is available. So I do not shilly-long and I downloaded the 2.5 GB iso file. I mean, was recently praised the new operating system from Microsoft is so high that you must try it if you already have the chance. In addition, the RC will run until mid-2010, all that is over a year. As you lose nothing. I'll see in this short and crisp review whether the hype is justified by the new system, or whether to remain in their old XP users nostalgic system.
How do I start? Quite clear: First upload the image of the disk, or simply put, Windows, download 7th This is also quite fast, if you have a fast line. I've used with my 3000 line just 2-3 hours, until the two and a half large file was on my computer. Then fix burned, the key printed from Microsoft and away you go.
Whether you are even with the installation of Windows 7 has the option to create a new partition, I do not know. I've previously a 50GB primary NTFS partition created. I have then selected when installing the files and even the routine started on the local disk write. At first I thought because of the lame percent, indicating that the installation would take forever. But that was not the case. In retrospect, the installation went inside equipped by almost 20 minutes. That's great ![]()
Once the files have been copied to your disk, you are asked directly after the establishment of a network. This one has to configure the internal firewall, the choice between a home network (where all releases are handled a little loose) and a public network, such as it does in cafes to choose. In the latter possibility is of course nothing is released and requests are blocked on your own computer.
After all was done, you get even to the desktop. The installation + equipment has now taken almost 20-30 minutes to complete and I have access to the Internet and on my network. Super ![]()
The next thing I did was, first click around (:)). Stupid way is to use a fast that a few programs for everyday use, as I have it, are missing. For example, a better music player than Windows Media Player (I use AIMP). Or a fine browser, as is the Mozilla Firefox. So get this stuff played on it. Lasts not long. Otherwise, everything works with the new Windows 1A: No crashes or error messages. It all comes around.
What I have noticed is that some texts of the dialog boxes are still in English. This is not bad, but until the final version should be repaired. But I think there will not hesitate to Microsoft. In an emergency, I'll do it for the Redmond ![]()
What can you say about the speed? The speed of Windows 7 is, how it's used to open all windows and close smoothly and are encouraged to send more. The FPS during gaming, I'm within 2 hours, as I've tested the OS, not ertestet. But you should be OK. What I have also noticed: Give it dxdiag.exe in the run window and ends up in the DirectX Diagnostic window, you can tell that already have DirectX 11 on board. I was able to test the functionality of course not, because there is no game that supports the new interface.
Otherwise, only to say that Microsoft is using the new Windows has done everything right so far. On the speed of the user interface and clever ideas to the slick animation and transitions: Everything is ready. Good job, Microsoft!

As you read all the reviews so far seem to outweigh the positive to be (except for the fact that the XP mode only professional but it is).
In particular, the taskbar would interest me, I should try once.
Hi,
I've also tried the new Windows and I'm thrilled. It is very fast, cleaned up nicely and looks good
Visually, has somehow not made soo much when compared to Vista, I find. I'm looking forward to the correct release and I'll definitely buy.
Thank you for the test!
Yeah, I also like the new Windows
I've avoided Vista, but I think 7, I'll indulge me.
