Zwitscherservice to blog?

Recently, singing it quite fashionable. What, uh ... twitter?? Exactly, because you ask friends of the English language, is singing "Twitter" translated. There are now a true Twitter boom, but not here in Germany, but have so much in America. Namely, where almost everyone twitters. Here are some excerpts and some interesting facts from Twitter:

  • NASA use (and still used today) to Twitter from the spacecraft Phoenix report that has found water ice on Mars.
  • Barack Obama used Twitter for his campaign to keep his followers in the running
  • Universities use Twitter to inform students
  • Activists used Twitter networks to street protests during the Republican convention in Minneapolis / St. Paul in 2008 to coordinate
  • The plane crash of U.S. Airways Flight 1549 was first reported on Twitter, far more than the professional media reported about the accident

Vorallen the last point is quite fascinating. The advantage of Twitter is very good here is obvious: information can be published very fast. In addition, they spread more rapidly.

But the question remains: Is Twitter the blogger or bloggers out of work? In my opinion, because Twitter is like a prison: Limited to 140 sqm mark. To write longer articles is simply not there. You feel hemmed properly. This leads to the conclusion that in Twitter is not free like a Zwitschervogel, but more like chicks in the nest. One is from the lining of the mother the news of other more or less dependent, because supply of 140 characters or his opinion proper information is not there. And that's exactly what makes a blog: information and personal opinion. This can not be as brief. I for one will not do it.

Cheers!
